One more poster for the Oz production. I made the top one with out the text for Illustration Friday topic Secret. I am thankful that God has revealed Himself to us in His word and the person of Jesus Christ. We don't have to go looking for some secret knowledge and its not just something a certain few can have. He took on flesh and lived before human eyes displaying His power, holiness, justice, mercy, love and grace. Created in Inkscape and Gimp
Make plans to be at the OHS presentation of OZ! Here are a couple of posters I made to remind you! Of course there's no place like home! We were made to be in a relationship with God and there's no place like in His presence! At the end of Revelation it says that through Jesus Christ one day the dwelling place of God will be with men!
Despicable Me was the best movie I saw this summer ( and I saw a few!) I couldn't resist drawing a Minion even if I had to do it quickly ( and leave out a lot of details). I wish I could talk a little about being redeemed by love that is found in the movies but like this picture I have to make it quick. Thankfully God loved us even while we were yet sinners Romans 5:8
Practicing painting in GIMP. From a doodle of the classic monster Frankenstein started in Inkscape. It looks more like the Frank in Hotel Transylvania than Boris Karloff. It's kind of a mess but a lot of fun.
One of the issues addressed by the Frankenstein story is our mortality. Certainly, death doesn't make sense when you were made to live forever. We definitely desire immortality for ourselves and our loved ones. LIke the story of ole Frank here, man's attempts at immortality all fall short. Only Jesus is risen from the dead and can give eternal life to all who repent of sin (which brings death in the first place) surrender their lives to Him in faith. |
